Studio Agreements
All renters must review and agree to the following before their session.
This Agreement is entered into between Light Lab Dayton LLC (“Studio”) and the undersigned renter (“Renter”).
1. Rental Period
Renter agrees to use the studio only during the reserved time.
Setup and breakdown must occur within the booked time unless otherwise stated.
Overtime is billed in 30-minute increments at the current hourly rate.
2. Permitted Use
The studio is to be used for professional photography, videography, and content creation only.
No illegal, hazardous, or disruptive activities permitted.
3. Responsibility for Individuals
Renter assumes full responsibility for all individuals present during the rental period, including clients, models, crew, and guests.
4. Studio Equipment
Any included equipment must be used properly and returned in the same condition.
Additional fees apply for misuse or damage.
5. Cleanliness & Reset
Renter agrees to return the space to its original condition:
Trash removed
Equipment reset
Floors cleared
Cleaning fees may be charged if not completed.
6. Damage Policy
Renter is financially responsible for any damage to:
Equipment
Walls, floors, or backdrops
Furniture or fixtures
7. Cancellations
48+ hours: reschedule allowed
Less than 48 hours: non-refundable
8. Payment Terms
Full payment or deposit is required to confirm booking.
9.Overage Policy
Any use of the studio beyond the reserved session time will incur an additional charge of $75.00 per 30-minute increment. Overage time is subject to availability and must be approved by studio staff.
10. Liability Acknowledgment
Renter agrees that use of the studio is at their own risk.
11. Agreement Acceptance
By signing or booking, the renter agrees to all terms.
LIABILITY WAIVER
Liability Waiver & Hold Harmless
Renter agrees to release, waive, and discharge Light Lab Dayton LLC from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or accidents that may occur during the rental period.
Use of the studio includes lighting equipment, electrical systems, and production gear. Renter assumes full responsibility for any risks associated with use of the space.
Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Light Lab Dayton LLC from any claims resulting from their use of the studio or the actions of anyone present during the session.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
DAMAGE & EQUIPMENT AGREEMENT
Equipment & Damage Responsibility
Renter agrees to use all equipment properly and return it in the same condition.
Any damage to equipment, backdrops, furniture, or the studio space will be the financial responsibility of the renter.
This includes:
Lighting equipment
Modifiers
Backdrops beyond normal wear
Structural or surface damage
Renter authorizes charges to the card on file for any damages.
MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
Membership Terms
Memberships are billed monthly and include a set number of studio hours based on the selected plan.
All sessions must be scheduled in advance. Overtime is billed at the current hourly rate.
Members may receive priority access to peak booking times.
A 30-day notice is required to cancel membership.
Light Lab Dayton reserves the right to terminate membership for misuse of the space, unsafe behavior, or violation of studio policies.
By booking or using the studio, renter agrees to all terms listed above.
